This is classic Cuban food at reasonable prices. I had the Picadillo with white rice and tostones which was really good! My daughter had the pan con bistek. She said it was very tasty, big portion overall 8/10. My youngest had the baby skirt steak which was a little small for the price but it was good as well. The chimichurri sauce was bland. The cafe con leches were amazing!
The place was busy and the food was good.
Will definitely be back when I come shopping in this area again.
(We didn't take any pictures cuz we were starving and ate everything lol) -

We were not welcome customers.
They get a 2 because the food was really tasty. We ordered a large bowl of chicken noodle soup and Cuban sandwiches.
The issues: We were not welcome customers there. This is a very local community eatery that enjoys serving the Latinas in the area. The restaurant was recommended by three young lady postal workers we met while looking for a place to eat. My husband and I are simply English-speaking Americans. We were not greeted at all upon entering. The waitress closes to the door gestures toward the counter stools (eventually) but we preferred a table. She ignored us or scowled at us the remainder of our visit. A customers suggested we seat ourselves, which we did. A different waitress eventually came to our table. She indicated that the only spoke a little English. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and a coke. That went well. My husband wanted to try the chicken noodle soup. We tried to get the attention of the waitress, no luck. He went to the counter with the menu. The angry waitress told a 3rd waitress not to help him and pointed to our waitress, who was busy. My husband was able to eventually place the order for the soup. We waited for what seemed like a long time (soup and sandwiches). The 3rd waitress brought over the soup; I think she felt sorry for how we were being treated. The soup was delightful. Our sandwiches arrived right after; huge Cuban sandwiches with soft bread and potato sticks. They were very good. We were left alone for the entirety of the meal. I asked for a leftover box, she spoke great English at this point. We paid and left.
Overall, great food but we were tolerated as customers, not engaged. -

This place has an amazing pan con bistec and fresh and perfect tostones. Service was great and the prices were very reasonable. A bit divey, but standard for a Cuban cafeteria. Drive up window and well staffed.

This place is just what it claims to be: a cafeteria and a great one at that.
Perfect for a cheap, quick, blue collar lunch. No frills, good hearty menu, clean, cheap, great portions.
